Today with the increasing stress on academics, the key challenge every player and the parents have is balancing academics and cricket. Also due to the time spent on sport the time available for academics is less and hence there is a gap between the other students who focus only on academics and players who spend time on coaching. Also most of us see only being a player as a career stream which has less than 1% probability for success based on statistics. The time spent on sport is not effective translated in their career stream and cricket stays a hobby at best. Most players have great passion for the game but end up choosing alternate careers at some point of time which creates a void psychologically which might result in lower performance and productivity in their respective career streams.
Attitude plays a great part in our success and it is important we nurture the attitude at a young age. A very good attitude in general results in a successful and respectable career. We at VCA focus on building the attitude as a part of the coaching process so that it becomes a differentiator for our players. We at VCA believe that the time spent on learning and understanding cricket with passion needs to be helping the players to build a career around it. We not only focus on cricket from a player perspective, we try to nurture careers in Cricket as a process of this training. We identify special skills of our players and guide them for sports careers enabling them to stay with passion and at the same time build a career. We feel whatever time spent n learning the game should help build your career and character. Some of the careers streams suggested for grooming are as below,
